Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about above ground pool liner installation.

How long does a liner installation take?
Most liner replacements are completed in 3–6 hours depending on pool size and the extent of floor prep needed. You can typically begin filling the pool the same day, and be swimming within 24–48 hours once the water is balanced.
How often should I replace my above ground pool liner?
Most above ground pool liners last 6–10 years with proper care. Signs it's time to replace include visible fading, brittleness, cracking, leaking at seams, or persistent wrinkles that won't smooth out.
Do I need to purchase the liner myself, or do you supply it?
Both options are available. You can purchase your liner from a pool supply store or we can source the liner for you. We work with all liner styles — overlap, beaded, and J-hook — in gauges ranging from 20 to 30 mil.
What liner thickness should I choose?
We typically recommend 20 mil for budget-conscious buyers, 25 mil for a popular mid-range balance of cost and durability, and 27–30 mil for maximum puncture resistance and longevity. Thicker liners also tend to hold color better over time.
Do you replace the sand base when installing a new liner?
We always inspect the floor during installation. If the existing sand base is level and in good condition, it may not need replacement. If we find erosion, hard spots, or unlevel areas, we'll recommend a sand replacement to protect your new liner.
Can you install a liner on an older or damaged pool frame?
In many cases, yes. We inspect the frame before installation and can replace damaged rails, uprights, or connectors as an add-on service. If a pool is structurally compromised we'll let you know before proceeding.
What areas do you serve?
Contact us with your location and we'll confirm service availability. We service a wide regional area and can often accommodate customers outside our primary territory for larger jobs.
